Dress for the event is business casual. NICE school clothes is appropriate—please NO sweats, shorts, or shoddy looking clothes. You will be representing CUHS & all of the important people in the field of music across the state will be at this convention. You will need money for 3 fast food meals and 2 nice meals. Breakfast is served in the hotel. We are staying at the Fairfield Inn & Suites Downtown. Also, note that you will be walking to the convention center, therefore, make sure you have warm appropriate clothing. You will be on your own for lunch on Thursday & Friday as we have duties at the convention. You may walk to eat lunch or eat in the convention center—Hyatt Hotel has a restaurant & coffee bar and the exhibits has a concession stand. We will meet at go to dinner from the hotel each evening as a group. Below is the schedule.

Thursday

  • 6:20 AM, Load vans for deparure

  • 9:00 AM, Check in Maddie at 1234A State Band Rehearsal

  • 10:00 AM, Arrive at Century II Convention Center

  • 10:30 AM, Opening Session - MJT Theater

  • 11:15 AM, Lunch on your own

Friday

  • 7:00, Breakfast in hotel

  • 7:45, Meet in Hotel Lobby—depart for Century II

  • 8:00—10:00 AM, Tri-M Clinic - Century II Service Club

  • 10:15 AM, Meet Ms. P in connecting lobby to get All-State Tickets (don’t be late)

  • 10:30, Visit the exhibits

  • 12:00, Lunch on your own

  • 1:00, Concerts and/or exhibits —on your own

  • 5:00, Meet in hotel lobby for dinner

  • 5:30, Dinner at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse

  • 9:30, Late Night Jazz - Hyatt Ballrooms D-H

  • 11:00, Lights OUT

Saturday

  • 8:00, Breakfast in hotel

  • 10:45, Check out of Hotel

  • 11:30-12:15, All State Treble/Mixed Choir Concert - Century II Convention Hall

  • 12:00, All State Jazz Concert - MJT Theatre
